How to enter


The competition is open to all interested participants with professional and/or amateur interest in photography. The Clinical Research SA website developers are seeking innovative photos promoting clinical research in South Africa. Photos are to portray research in a South African context that can be used in the Clinical Research SA website and other related publications.
The photographer will be acknowledged on the website/publication.

How to enter
Each photo must be submitted electronically via the online Submission Process.

On filling out the online contest form photographs must be emailed along with the downloadable ‘Release Form’ to : [include website email address]

Photos emailed from an email address that is different to the one used on our online submission form cannot be attributed to the photographer properly, and therefore will not be considered as eligible for the contest.

Heavy files can be sent via or using the same email ID that is used during the online submission process.


Eligibility and Judging

To ensure eligibility for the contest, all entries must have a resolution of 6 megapixels to be made available upon request. Images that do not meet this standard can still be judged, but will not be honoured by the competition if the photographer is unable or unavailable to provide the proper resolution when required.

Entries may originate in any format — including, but not limited to digital files, digital prints, color prints, or black and white prints — so long as they are submitted electronically.

Images will be judged on uniqueness, significance to the subject-matter, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. The assigned panel of judges shall determine winner eligibility in its sole and absolute discretion. All decisions made by the judges are final.
